About us
Nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, just 40 minutes southwest of Calgary, Caeco Ranch is a place where horses, people, and the western way of life come together.
Our trail and pleasure horses are thoughtfully trained and well-adjusted to the everyday rhythm of ranch life—comfortable around people, equipment, and the activity that comes with it. At the same time, they’re taught to think for themselves and respond calmly and confidently in any situation, whether at home or out exploring the stunning Sandy McNabb and Bluerock areas of Kananaskis Country.
Above all, we take pride in creating a safe, supportive experience for every rider. When you’re in the saddle with us, you can feel confident knowing you’re partnered with a horse you can trust.
Our Team...
At Caeco Ranch, we’re proudly family owned and operated, built on generations of hard work, horsemanship, and heart. Every person here plays an important role in keeping the ranch running—from daily care and training to lessons, events, and everything in between.
We believe it takes a team to create the kind of experience we’re known for, and each member brings their own strengths, knowledge, and passion to the table.
Meet the team behind Caeco Ranch 🤍
Shannon — Director of Operations
Shannon is the backbone of Caeco Ranch, overseeing day-to-day operations including bookkeeping, financials, communications, and sales. With a lifetime of experience around horses, her knowledge runs deep and is reflected in everything she does.
She brings nearly two decades of experience managing a tack store, along with earlier years spent working in a saddle maker’s shop—giving her a well-rounded and hands-on understanding of equine equipment and care. Shannon is also a skilled saddle fitter, dedicated to ensuring both horse and rider are set up for comfort and success.
Above all, her passion for horses and commitment to the ranch keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
Bailee — Barn Manager
Bailee has grown up around horses and ranch life, developing a strong foundation in horsemanship from a young age. She spent 13 consecutive years in her local Light Horse 4-H Club, where she built her skills and confidence both in and out of the arena.
She has competed and trained across multiple disciplines including rodeo events, western horsemanship, western pleasure, English flat classes, as well as showjumping, and cowboy challenge—giving her a well-rounded and adaptable approach to working with both horses and riders.
At Caeco Ranch, Bailee leads the daily barn operations, lessons, and programs. She’s passionate about creating a safe, encouraging environment where riders of all levels can learn, grow, and build confidence in the saddle.
