Caeco Ranch offers quality horses of all ages. The majority of our younger stock has been born and raised on our property. Others that are available come from private purchases we have made with specific attention made to the range of clients we serve and their needs. In all cases, we strive to achieve a “good match” between the horse, and the new owner. For this reason, we have had a great deal of success in matching younger riders with younger horses.
Horses boarded at Caeco become “one of the family”. Each horse is cared for as if they were one of our own. Daily monitoring of their condition and their needs while being kept in a safe and secure surrounding provides you with comfort in the knowledge that your friend is in the best of hands. All horses are provided heated auto waterers, mineral blocks, and excellent pasture. In the winter months, the horses are fed square bales of timothy/brome/grass hay, which is fresh to that year and has been stored dry. Other requirements may include attending with vet or farrier, special treatments, diet, or care, such as blanketing, trailering, or exercising.
Horsemanship & Riding Lessons
Lessons are available for people of all ages. From younger children starting out, to adults getting back in to the sport, our program is designed to develop the student into a confident pleasure rider with knowledge of the horse, horse tack, and trail manners. For those persons beginning lessons with their own horse, we will customize the program to suit their needs.
Mountain Shuttle Trips
From the Ranch, it’s a short 15 to 20 minute drive to some of the best equestrian trails in the Rocky Mountains. Blue Rock, Sandy McNabb, and Mesa Butte are among the start locations for our trail rides. Ride lengths can be from 1 to 4 hours or more depending on the rider’s ability. Prior bookings are required.
Our excursions are geared for 2-4 people and so makes it a very personal and memorable experience.
